What is the maximum capacity?
We can accommodate 150 people for formal dining, and a maximum of 150 for evening receptions.
Are all the rooms included in the price of the venue?
Yes, all 8 en-suite rooms are included with the venue at the price stated. We also offer the option of charging out the rooms separately to guests of your choice at £150 per room per night, which would then be refunded to you.
Do we have to contact the registrars if we choose to have a civil ceremony?

What times are the rooms available?
If there is no wedding the night before, you can have access to the all rooms from 10am on the day of the wedding. If there is a wedding the day before you can have access to the bridal suite from 11am and the other bedrooms will be available from 2pm. The Courtyard is available from 9am and the Main House from 10.30am. Those guests staying on-site are more than welcome to bring their luggage into the house and our staff will ensure they are kept safe until the rooms are ready.
What time do we need to leave the house in next morning?
We want you to enjoy your morning after and make full use of the house, so we ask all rooms to be vacated by 10am, and departure from the house by 10.30am.
What does no corkage mean?
No corkage means that during the day you are welcome to bring your own drinks for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast for no additional fee. We can also source your drinks for you direct from our wine merchant at cost price. There’s a fully stocked bar open throughout the day, and once the toast drinks have been served we ask that all further drinks are purchased from the bar.
What time will the venue close?
Last orders and the music cut off time is midnight.We ask all guests to leave by 1am.
House guests can then come back into the house to relax, share stories from the day over a cold beer from the fridge or a nice cup of tea.
Can we have any catering company at the wedding?
We have in house caterers, the award winning Clever Chefs, however you’re free to use any caterer of your choice provided they have a 5*-hygiene rating.
Is the weekday package available during weekends?
Yes, please contact us and we’ll be happy to provide you with a quote.
Can we bring activities to have on the day e.g. photo-booth, pitch and put, fairground ride?
Yes. You are more than welcome to have the activities you want on your special day and we encourage our couples to have what they want to make their day personal. Our only requirement is that the activity provider has suitable insurance and meets our policy. For more information please contact us.
Can we decorate the venue how we want?
Yes, we encourage all our couples to decorate the rooms to their own taste and our staff will be on hand to help with the process. We just ask all wedding parties to leave St Tewdrics in its original condition.
Are we allowed confetti at the venue?
Yes, confetti is allowed at the venue as long as it is biodegradable.
How much is the deposit to secure the date we want to get married?
If you think St Tewdrics House is the place for you, we require a £1000 deposit within 2 weeks of booking the venue.
Who will serve the drinks and food?
We have staff on hand throughout the day to serve all drinks, and a fully staffed bar throughout the day. Your chosen caterers will supply staff to serve all food.
Who provides the linens, glassware and crockery?
Anything that goes on the tables, glassware, crockery and linens etc. should be provided by your caterer.
